Welcome! My name is Noel Garcia, and I am passionate about helping students become safe, confident, and responsible drivers.
Education
Master of Education in Higher Education – Abilene Christian University
Bachelor of Science in Public Administration (Telecommunications) – Central Michigan University
Driver Education Experience
For more than 15 years, I have provided driver education instruction in St. Charles, Michigan, and Bay City, Michigan. My responsibilities included:
Classroom instruction
Behind-the-wheel driving instruction
Student enrollment
Marketing and advertising
Program administration
Participation in quarterly meetings with the Michigan Driver Education Department
This experience has allowed me to teach students with a wide range of learning styles while emphasizing safe, defensive driving habits that last a lifetime.
Student Services Experience
In addition to driver education, I have served as the Director of Student and Career Services at both Texas A&M College of Dentistry (Dallas) and Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Pharmacy (Dallas).
Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working with thousands of students. Their continued encouragement and positive feedback have reinforced my belief that successful instruction is about more than teaching skills—it's about building relationships, creating trust, and fostering confidence.
I believe every student deserves to feel welcomed, respected, and supported in a positive learning environment where they can develop the knowledge and confidence needed to succeed.
My Teaching Philosophy
Learning to drive is about much more than operating a vehicle. It is about making sound decisions, managing risk, and developing confidence behind the wheel.
One quote that has guided my teaching throughout the years is:
"A good driving instructor doesn't just teach the mechanics of the car—they help guide the mind of the driver."
My goal is to help every student become a safe, courteous, and defensive driver while building the confidence and self-esteem that will serve them well both on the road and throughout life.
